Carbon Poker Payouts Improve Slightly
Carbon Poker has improved payouts to players. U.S. players are reporting cashouts processed during mid February during the past week. Withdrawals are running about 10 weeks to U.S. players. Bank wires are processed to players outside the U.S. These are available in about three weeks.
Carbon Poker Drops Affiliate Program
Carbon Poker announced today that it will dump its affiliate program on June 1. This is the latest cost saving move for a site that has watched its popularity erode over the years. The site cut spending by removing rakeback, followed by discontinuing its VIP program. Carbon Poker only allows one cashout per year for free. Otherwise, there is a 3% fee for all players.
New York Online Poker Bill Introduced
There is a new online poker bill in New York. It is S 5302. It was submitted by State Senator John Bonacic and State Assemblyman J. Gary Pretlow. It is a poker-only bill. One big difference between this year’s bill and the one released in previous years is that there is no bad actor clause, which automatic exclude operators that accepted U.S. players after 2006. The current bill would allow regulators to determine suitability. The tax rate would be 14% under the bill.
Limit Games Return to WSOP in Nevada
Nevada has finally brought back limit games to its software in Nevada. The games were absent for three months. Players in Nevada can once again play Limit Hold’em, Fixed Limit Omaha, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud High/Low. Games will be available in New Jersey by the end of next week. New Jersey requires a 10-day waiting period before new features may be introduced. The games were removed due to a technical glitch in February.
