Betcoin Joins Winning Poker Network
Betcoin is a Bitcoin-only poker site. It has joined the Winning Poker Network. Betcoin uses Winning Poker’s software for its cash games and tournaments. Only tournaments, including sit and gos, are shared with the network. The cash games are ring-fenced from the network’s tables. This means players at cash game tables on Americas Cardroom, True Poker, and Black Chip Poker are not playing Betcoin players.
Trump Plaza to Close
Trump Plaza in Atlantic City will close, according to a report by the Washington Post. Trump Plaza is Atlantic City’s lowest grossing casino. Its gaming revenue is down 26.7 percent in 2014. The second lowest grossing casino has booked 2.5 times more in gaming win. Trump Plaza operates online poker and casino games through it interactive partner Betfair. There is no news about what will happen with Betfair after Trump Plaza closes.
Carbon Poker to End VIP Program
Carbon Poker will discontinue its VIP program effective July 15. Players must use all VIP points by July 14 or they will expire worthless. VIP points may be used to enter poker tournaments. Carbon Poker will continue to offer monthly reload bonuses.
WSOP and 888 to Share Nevada Liquidity
WSOP.com and 888 will share player pools in Nevada. The partners received preliminary approval from the Nevada Gaming Control Board this week. WSOP.com uses 888’s software in Nevada and New Jersey. This appears to be the first step in combining player pools in Delaware and Nevada. WSOP.com and 888 will remain separate in New Jersey for now. This may change if New Jersey enters the liquidity sharing agreement.
