Expert View of Juicy Stakes
There was a time that Juicy Stakes was a rogue site. Players were not getting paid and the site management did not care. That was back when it was associated with Cake Poker. Intertops bailed out Juicy Stakes players and approached each with a plan to get everybody paid. Juicy Stakes Poker has been a legitimate poker site ever since. The only concern we have is that its deposit limits are only $1,000 per week.

Juicy Stakes Poker Summary
Juicy Stakes was created in 2011. It was related to Cake Poker, later referred to as Wincake. Juicy Stakes stopped paying players and required a bailout by Intertops. It’s been a respectable poker site ever since.
Juicy Stakes Poker is a member of the Horizon Poker Network. The platform consists of a few old Cake Poker skins that include Intertops. The biggest problem with Juicy Stakes is its software. It’s among the worst in online poker. The other problem with Juicy Stakes Poker is that it does not offer Bitcoin. This makes depositing and withdrawing difficult. One plus is that a player that rakes $40 in a month can receive a free check withdrawal. The maximum withdrawal amount is $1,000. That is the lowest in the online poker world.
Personal Opinion of Juicy Stakes
What we like about Juicy Stakes Poker
Juicy Stakes has finally turned the corner and is operating a legitimate business. For years, players would wonder if their cashouts would be processed. It seemed like the site might disappear at any time. Zagox Management bailed out Juicy Stakes Poker players. I feel that a company that comes to the rescue of players should be supported. No Limit Texas Hold’em, Pot Limit Omaha and Pot Limit Omaha High/Low players will find enough action to play multiple tables. The bonus and loyalty program uses the dealt method. This is unusual for today’s online poker rooms and helps tight players clear the bonus faster than they would at other sites. Players can receive a free check each month by raking $40.
What we do not like about Juicy Stakes Poker
The software at Juicy Stakes Poker is below industry standards. Some computers have issues running the software, especially when playing multiple tables. There is also a lack of Fixed Limit Hold’em and Omaha games. Stud has never been developed for the software. Players looking for these games will need to play at a different online poker room. Bitcoin is not used at Juicy Stakes. The maximum withdrawal is only $1,000.
What Players Are Saying About Juicy Stakes
Juicy Stakes is not a poker site that gets much relevant discussion. Most threads players will find in poker forums discuss past issues under old management.
Juicy Stakes Deposits and Withdrawals
Juicy Stakes Poker does not offer Bitcoin for deposits or withdrawals. This may turn off serious players. There are still some ways to get money on and off the site.
Making a Deposit
Juicy Stakes accepts deposit methods like Visa and Western Union deposits from US players. Visa cards have a low acceptance rate so most US players will need to deposit by Western Union. Players outside the US may deposit by Visa, Mastercard, Neteller, Skrill, Click2Pay and Instadebit.
Making a Withdrawal
Juicy Stakes Poker allows U.S. players to withdraw through check by mail. There is a $50 fee for checks. The maximum cashout per transaction is $1,000. Players that rake $40 in a month may receive a free check.
Players outside the U.S. may withdraw by Neteller and Skrill. Players in the U.S. receive withdrawals in about one week. Cashouts outside the U.S. are processed in about two days.
Juicy Stakes Safety
Juicy Stakes has had a tumultuous history, with cashouts plaguing the poker room for years in the early 2010s. The brand has since been sold to Zagox Management and they seem to have stabilized in recent years. Highly respected Intertops is also now the owner of the Horizon Network, which is where Juicy Stakes makes their home.
We are more confident about Juicy Stakes than virtually any time in their history so Juicy Stakes feels relatively safe at the moment.
Is Juicy Stakes Legit?
Juicy Stakes Poker is legit, but given their rocky history you want to make sure you understand the potential risks for a poker room that has had cashout issues in the past. The poker traffic also gives us concerns about the poker room’s future.
Juicy Stakes Poker Bonuses
Juicy Stakes offers a first deposit bonus of up to $1,000. Players should keep in mind that the maximum withdrawal amount is $1,000 when depositing for the bonus.
Juicy Stakes Deposit Bonus

The dealt method is used so a player is not required to contribute to the pot to clear the bonus or receive FPPs. The bonus releases in $5 increments and expires after 90 days.
VIP Program – Loyalty Levels
Juicy Stakes Poker offers a VIP program called Loyalty Levels. There are 50 tiers in the Loyalty Levels program. The first 10 tiers award players Gold Chips. The middle tiers award players bonuses. The top tiers pay players straight cash. Players in the first 10 tiers will never drop levels from inactivity. Players above Level 10 must earn 200 FPPs in a 90 day period to maintain their tier. Players that fail to maintain the tier will drop down to Level 10. Alternatively, players may contact support and receive 36% rakeback.

Other Gold Chip tournaments are satellites for large guaranteed multi table tournaments such as the $110k bounty tournament held every Sunday.
Juicy Stakes Poker Game Selection
Juicy Stakes offers a limited poker game selection. Virtually all of the action is No Limit Texas Hold’em. Most of these games are $.01/$.02 up to $.50/$1. There are limited no limit games up to $2/$4. While no limit tables are offered up to $10/$20, action that high is nearly nonexistent.

Has There Ever Been a Scandal at Juicy Stakes?
The previous ownership of Juicy Stakes had one scandal after another. Players did not get paid in a timely manner. Then the network invited Lock Poker and the situation got worse. Intertops acquiring Juicy Stakes turned the site around so the history is no longer relevant. Juicy Stakes Poker has had no problems since Intertops got involved.
